No the install is pretty easy. You simply remove the old bracket and mount the new one in its place. See the installation page for more detailed information.
Yes. If you're going to lower your bike, my best recommendation would be to do it using the 11" Jireh Cycles shocks for the "big v-twin. That's what I've got on my bike and I know that several other riders are using them as well. Even when riding two up I haven't had any trouble. You can get these shocks at www.jirehcycles.com The part number is 116-13 for the uncovered shocks and 116-26 for the covered ones.
You can get a replacement bulb at your local auto parts store. Just tell them that you need an 1157 bulb that is less than 25 watts.
No. It runs to hot and will melt the light.

A number of people
have had problems with this. Those things are on really tight. I just leaned
into mine
and they came loose but some have had to heat them up (watch the fender ...
its plastic) and in at least one case had to hack saw through the nuts themselves.
