The mod is pretty easy to do. It requires the tool list below: Allen Wrenches (5mm & 10mm), Phillips Head Screw Driver, Socket Set, Wire Cutters, Electrical Tape. Almost everything you need can be found in your motorcycle tool kit. It isn't a MUST that you remove the rear fender, but it will MAKE THE JOB A WHOLE LOT EASIER. Once you get the seat and fender off there are two 5mm allen heads and one 10mm nut to remove.

Heads up on the allen heads, a number of people have found them to be extremely tight! At least one perhaps two guys had to put heat on them. Mine came right off.

Check out the diagram below for more information.

Once you get the Stock light off, cut the stock wires wherever you feel like. Splice the wires in the following pattern Black=Brown, Red=Yellow/Green, Yellow=Green.

Press the brake to see if the light is working. Lately I have gotten some lights that have different wiring.  If the above wiring doesn't work, try this combination instead:

Black=Green, Red=Yellow/Green, Yellow=Brown

After it’s connected, wrap wires with electrical tape. Reassemble the bike.
